Lee was born on June 13, 1936, in Meadville, PA to Veronica and Harold Dunn.
Lee was called by name to a special journey in life. Due to issues at birth, Lee was not able to go to
school, but he lived a full life that was an inspiration to many.
As a young man, he and his mother moved to Las Vegas, NV and he lived there most of his life. He worked full time and retired from the Las Vegas Sun, walking a 14-mile route every day for over 20 years. He had many things in his life that brought him great joy: playing slot machines, listening to all kinds of music with classical being his favorite, watching the Dodgers play, cheering for Notre Dame, building puzzles up to 3000 pieces, having his daily ice cream drumstick, and his annual vacations to a casino of his choice. His last trip was three weeks ago, and he won. He was SO happy.
“Blessed are the pure in heart”, for they will see God. Lee was the most real person inside and out that you could ever meet, he treated everyone with respect, never uttered an angry word, had a strong work ethic, listened and was obedient to those who cared for him, took care of his space and himself, was wise above most people, instinctively knew the truth about important things, trusted God, asked for prayers on a regular basis, always kept us on our toes to do the RIGHT things, would sell some of his puzzles at our Pick It Forward for Orphans garage sales and always stated how much money we would make, to meet Lee was to love Lee. He had a great sense of humor a beautiful smile and we will miss him greatly.
Lee is survived by Jamie Jett his niece who he lived with for twelve years, Jackie Jett-Milam (niece) and her husband Terry Milam, Logan McCole (great nephew), and Emmi our beloved yorkie that loved Lee and he loved her. A special thank you to Father Pike Thomas who will officiate the service and my community of friends that loved and helped me with Lee.
Services will start at 11:30 AM at the mausoleum, Friday, July 22nd, at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
