Lee was born February 17, 1939 in Shelbyville, Texas. She was called home to be with our Lord on May 24, 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee. She was a long-time resident of Bossier City, Louisiana before moving to Tennessee to be near her children and grandchildren. Before her retirement she was an employee of Barksdale Federal Credit Union. During her residence in Tennessee, she was a member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church in Hermitage, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Bryant Woodrow Madden, Sr. of Bossier City, and by her father Homer Buren Brown and her mother Mattie Ann Wilburn Brown of Shelbyville, Texas.
She is survived by her son Bryant Woodrow (Skip) Madden, Jr. of Castalian Springs, Tennessee; by her daughter Maggi Madden McKenzie and husband Kevin McKenzie, and their sons Lucas, Cameron, and Collin, all of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
She avidly followed politics and had lively political discussions daily with family and friends. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, praying for each of them daily, encouraging them in their individual talents, and supporting them in every endeavor. She lived by the Apostle Paul’s admonition to pray without ceasing, and everyone who knew her will dearly miss her love and care.
