Leroy was born in Oshkosh, WI to Leroy and Clara Smith Edwards.
He was an Army veteran and a longtime Bossier City resident.
He worked construction for Brown Builders and eventually retired as a Foreman. His favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing and as a boy he loved playing baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Charles Edwards.
Leroy is survived by his sister, Patricia Stevenson; nieces, Diane Cappo (Russ), Monica Giazzon (Al) and Sue Baiocchi (Ralph); nephew, Chuck Edwards; great niece, Shelley Moore (Matt); and numerous other nieces and nephews spread out across the United States.
