BLANCHARD, LA – Services for Linda Gail Young will held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Larry Bass officiating. The family will be receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. an hour prior to the service.
Linda was a kind, good hearted and loved woman. She was affectionately known as “Mama Linda” and she loved spending time with her family and her dogs. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Eddie Lee Freeland and Opal Freeland Owens and brother Jerry Lee Freeland.
She is survived by her husband Alan Young, daughters Elisa Benward and husband Robert and Melynda Knight, son Kevin Wayne West and wife Linda, sister Gwen Freeland Hollis and husband Tommy, grandchildren Chad Knight, Shaun Knight, Steven Bryan and wife Stacie, and Daniel Laytham and great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Dr. Epling and Anna for their kindness and care.
