

Lisa Rey Stephens, 65, of Benton, Louisiana, was met by her precious fur-baby Teddy on November 22, 2025, following a lengthy and courageous battle with lung cancer, at the Carpenter House in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on December 25, 1959, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to the late William and Peggy Joyce Sanders Pittman.
Lisa was preceded in passing by her parents.
Left to cherish Lisa’s memory will be one daughter, Cara Poe, one sister, Sharon Chandler (Jesse); two brothers: Kirk Matthews (Corky), Barry Pittman (Janis); grandchildren: Jakob Jemelka (Carmie), Kourtnee Jemelka (Devin Adley); four great-grandchildren: Bryson Adley, Jaxon Adley, Kaiden Adley, and one on the way Aspen Jemelka; her favorite niece, Shawna Broadway; her favorite cousin, Jamie Bright; along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Lisa was a shopper, she loved music, animals, and spending time with her beloved pet Teddy. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her lifelong friends: Shawn, Glenda, Lolette, Rebecca, Terri, and Myrna.
Memorials may be made to any local animal shelter in honor of Lisa Rey Stephens.
The family will be greeting guests for visitation at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, to begin at 1:00 PM until time for Lisa's Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM.
Immediately following will be an inurnment on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, Louisiana.
