After marrying in 1957, Loretta was especially proud to be the wife of her beloved USAF Master Sergeant Thomas Deville Sr. Before his retirement in Bossier City, they shared 26 years of travel to multiple places as Thomas served our nation, creating a lifetime of adventures and memories as they devoted themselves to raising their growing family of six children.
Those who knew Loretta knew of her strong faith and active involvement in her church.
She was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Ladies Auxiliary.
Loretta was also a creative, talented and enthusiastic crafter who enjoyed crochet, knitting, sewing, and scrapbooking.
We should also not forget how much she cheered for her favorite hockey team, the Dallas Stars. But again, her greatest joy was her family. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
After 54 years of devoted marriage, Loretta was sadly preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas in 2012.
She is survived by her brother, Charles LeBlanc and her two sisters, Dale Diamond and Sue Chauvin, all of Louisiana. She also leaves behind to treasure her memory her children: Cindy Peterson and husband Craig and their children April and David; Rhonda Vieira and husband Chris; Thomas Deville Jr., his wife Elise and their daughter Jessica Christner, and son Travis; Danny Deville, his wife Regina, and their daughters Marissa and Meghan; Randy Deville, his wife Cynthia Deville and their children Sean and Katherine Sorrento; and Rebecca Bebow, her husband Jack, and their two daughters, Jennifer and Elizabeth. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family welcomes all to celebrate her life.
Her viewing will be on Tuesday, February 24th at Hill Crest Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church at 2pm on Wednesday, February 25th with a graveside service at Hillcrest Cemetery where she will be laid to rest by her dear husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church in Bossier City, LA.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing; and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue….
Her children rise up and call her blessed, her husband also, and he praises her.
Many a woman have done excellently, but [she] surpasses them all.”
~ Proverbs 31:25-29
