Mrs. Lorraine June Hill

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lorraine S. Hill, 84, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Bro. Calvin Hubbard of Barksdale Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening between the hours of 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hill was born April 11, 1929, in Shamokin, PA to the late Paul and Gertrude (Lewis) Seilhamer and passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013. She was a faithful member of Barksdale Baptist Church, the ladies Sunshine Sunday School Class, and loved taking part in their many ministries. Lorraine worked for Imperial Cleaners for approximately ten years and made many lifelong friends. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be deeply missed by those she loved and who loved her.

Mrs. Hill is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest V. Hill, Sr., son-in-law, Kenneth Bogy, parents, two sisters, and three brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary W. Hill and wife Brenda, James W. Hill, Ernest V. Hill, Jr. and fiance’ Jean, and Kathleen H. Bogy; sisters, Dot Brown and husband John, and Peggy Patton; brothers, Bruce Seilhamer and wife Barb, and Willie Seilhamer and wife JoAnn; six granddaughters, one grandson, six great-granddaughters, and five great-grandsons.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and staff of Willis Knighton Pierremont Life Care and to Dr. Jason Nelson, Dr. David Green, Dr. G. Orlando Padilla, Nurse Zoroina, and Physical Therapists, Jennifer and Troy, for all of their wonderful care and compassion.

Honoring Mrs. Hill as pallbearers are the Deacons of Barksdale Baptist Church.
