

Louise E Temples, 81, of Shreveport, Louisiana, was born January 20, 1945, and passed away July 5, 2026. With a steady, caring presence and a quiet strength that spoke through a lifetime of devotion to others, Louise will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude.
For more than 40 years, Louise served at Trinity Heights Day Care, faithfully working in the baby room. Day after day, she offered the kind of patient attention and gentle consistency that helped families feel secure and children feel safe—work that was not measured in headlines, but in the countless lives touched by her dependable care.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Jeri Louise Lynch and Alice Perry; her grandchildren, Zac Alley (Jessie) and Sari Elias (Mike); and her great-grandchildren, Alley Raye Elias, Colton Miller, Colten Alley, and Waylynn Alley. She is also survived by her grand dog, Jasper; her grand cats, Willow, Franklin, Bash, and Empire; her twin sister, Linda Gipson (Wayne); and four nieces and three nephews, Robin Stockton (Rob), Stephne (Podunk) Mikesell, Jason Gipson (Christy), Mark Susmilch (Joanne), Susan Rutherford (Ed), Michael Susmilch, and Christy Susmilch and their children.
Louise was preceded in death by her father, Billy Temples; her mother, Naomi Temples; her first husband, Jerry Ray Lynch; and her older sister, Sandra Susmilch.
Pallbearers will be Mike Elias, Zac Alley, Colten Alley, Jason Gipson, Zeke Mikesell, and Ethan Mikesell.
Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home & Park, 601 Highway 80 East, Haughton, Louisiana 71037, on July 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Chapel Service will follow at the same location on July 9, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
