Mabel Marie Ashby

We mourn the passing of Mable Marie Ashby, 88, of Bossier City who died Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Services will be held on Monday, September 5, 2011 at 1 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Mabel was a native of Church Point, LA and a longtime resident of Bossier City, LA. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mabel was an avid seamstress with a special talent for quilting. She also loved to garden and the bounty of her garden fed many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jackson and Johnnie Richard, her husband Jessie Willard Ashby, infant twins, brother, Leroy Richard and sister, Millery Richard.

Her survivors include two daughters, Susan Digilormo and husband Louis and Billie Weaver and husband Mark. Four grandchildren, Kim Coffman and husband Bob, Heather Cradeur, Michael Kramer and Andrew Gaspard and wife Nicki and four great grandchildren Matthew White, Aaron White, Erin Gaspard and MaKynlee Gaspard and many nieces.

She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
