Margaret "Margie" Koglin

BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services celebrating the life of Margaret “Margie” Koglin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Bro. George Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Anyone in attendance is welcome to wear their Dallas Cowboys gear. The family will be receiving friends on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Margie was born on October 7, 1939 in Pittsburgh, PA and lived in Bossier City and Haughton for the last 40 years. She was a member of Koran Baptist Church and the American Legion. She loved time with her grandkids, garage sales and finding a bargain. She loved dressing for and decorating for the holidays. Margie was the #1 Dallas Cowboys fan. Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by parents, Robert Sheets and mother Gertrude Hill and her husband, Ed Koglin, Sr.

Margie is survived by her children, Rhoda Koglin-Stevens and husband Davis, Leonard Koglin and wife Phyllis, Karyn Koglin-Tilley, all of Bossier City, and Ed Koglin of Lewisville, TX.

Missing their grandma are her grandchildren, Alicia and Del Moreno, Savannah Stevens, Jillian, Jordan and Brandon Koglin, Katie Koglin, Becca Pletzer, Matt Tilley and McKenzie Murphy, Mandi and Josh Butler, Jon and Joseph Koglin, Margo Hansen, Mary and Dale Hartegan. Left to mourn their MawMaw are her great grandchildren, Skylar Hill, Carson Poole, Bronx and Boston Butler, Wyatt Koglin, Kinzlee Koglin, Lillian Tilley, Jensen and Kasen Koglin, Julian and Erik Moreno, Samuel, Adaley and June Jamison.

Pallbearers will be Davis Stevens, Brandon Koglin, Jordan Koglin, Dale Sigman, Matt Tilley and Delfino Moreno. Honorary pallbearers will be the American Legion Auxiliary – Koran Post.

The family would like to thank Lisa at Professional Sitter Services and Lucy, Brenda and Tangela from Willis Knighton Hospice for the comfort and care they have shown Margie and family.
