Mary was born in Glasgow, Scotland on January 3, 1940. She met and married Birch Monroe and they eventually made Bossier City their home after Birch retired from the Air Force. They were married 40 years before he passed. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She stayed very active, always finding ways to spend her time. Mary would crochet and knit and loved to be outside enjoying the sunshine. Everyone that met her loved her and she never met a stranger. She loved her grandchildren tremendously and they loved her, she was truly one of a kind and lived her life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Birch Monroe; parents, Charlie and Annie Lynch; brother and sister, John and Betty.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Anne Davis and husband Ryan; her son, John Monroe; daughter-in-law, Theresa Cascio-Monroe; grandchildren, Melissa Monroe, Chandler Weatherford, and Gracie Anne Davis, and Mallorie and Macie Davis through marriage. She is also survived by her long-time dear companion, Vern Chandler of Hot Springs, AR, and best friend Karen Schamerhorn of Shreveport, LA.
