Mary Gatlin Woodard

Funeral services for Mary Gatlin Woodard,89, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Riley officiating. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery, in Shreveport, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday May 5, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Mary Jane was born July 17, 1920 in Magnolia, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Laura Mclaughlin of McNeil, AR as well as several siblings and infant son, Robert Bruce Gatlin and great-grandson, Carter Brian.

She is survived by her loving twin sister, Martha Scott of Shreveport, LA; and her son, James Gatlin and wife Carolyn Padgett

Gatlin of Shreveport, LA; as well as her daughter, Joan Gatlin Brian and husband Tip Brian of Ramona, OK. She was blessed with four loving grandchildren, Marci Gatlin Hicks of Shreveport, Loren Gatlin and wife Dana of Vero Beach, FL. grandson, Clay Brian and wife Megan of Orlando, FL; as well as grandson, Clint Brian and wife Leslie of Tulsa, OK; great-granddaughters, Savannah and Caroline Brian of Tulsa, OK; Brandi and Joey Hicks of Shreveport, LA; and Mia Brian of Orlando, FL; as well as grandson, Gavin Brian of Orlando, FL; also three nieces and a nephew.

Mary loved her life, family and friends. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

The family request memorial contributions be made to Trinity Heights baptist Church, or the Grace Home of Shreveport, LA.
