Grandpa you are going to be missed so much, I know that I didn't get to spend lots of time with you but the time that I did get to spend with you was very special and I love you and will miss you so much, may you rest in peace and I love you more than I could ever say.

Joyce and girls, I am so sorry to hear about Mike.  I know that y'all are at peace that he is not hurting and now has a healed body.

One of my best memories in life, is the day Karl & I introduced Joyce & Mike together.  They were both going thru a hard time.  Joyce had 3 little girls, Mike had 2 girls.  This was LONG before "on line" dating.  God took over the situation.  They eventually married, and became a blended family with 5 girls.  Poor Mike didn't stand a chance !!  LOL  He loved his family so much.  The Sibley and Fortenberry families go back a long ways.  I will always treasure their friendship and memories.

I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Mike's passing. He was a man of great character. He influenced my upbringing quite a bit when Deb and I used to take turns spending the night with each other back in our younger days. I remember seeing him years ago at Shreveport City Hall when I used to work there and he made calls on the coffee shop.  He was always quick to flash that beautiful smile and friendly conversation.  Oh how I wish I could be there with you all. My heart and my prayers are with you, Mrs. Joyce, and all the rest of the family. I love you.

Mrs Joyce and Family, we are saddened to hear of the loss of Mr Milton. What a great man he was. We are praying for you all as we do know how you feel since we just lost Dad (Tracy Webb). We ask the Lord to give you comfort and to recall all the great memories. I know how wonderful he and the family are because you'll took me in as one of your own. Never in a million years would I think I would end up living across the street from my Dads childhood friend many years and states later. Mr Milton and Dad are recalling all their childhood memories as we mourn their loss. Let's remember all the good times and spread their love for their families to ours and pass their legacy on to our families.

Mrs Joyce and Family, We know what you all are going thru as we just went thru the same loss. Now Dad (Tracy Webb) and Mr Milton are together again remembering their boyhood. We love and miss you all and are praying for the miracle of the Lords comfort during your time of loss. Remember the good times you'll had and we will also. Never in a million years would I think I would end up living across the street from my Dads childhood friend MANY years later. It was only a miracle in itself andthe Lord knew I would need you all during our time in LA. We love you all and will talk to you soon.

Uncle Mike was always one of my favorite people. I'll never forget the big smile he seemed to always have on his face, how much he loved his girls and what a positive influence he was in my life. Our family will truly miss him.

I am so glad to have known him. He was such a sweet man and he loved his family.

I sure am going to miss this wonderful man with his gorgeous blue eyes. He has been a part of mine and Tim's life for many years. I loved our dinner dates with him and Ms. Joyce, they are unforgettable. Just remember Mike, I am not in the restroom, as Tim and Tom always said I was. The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Milton Bass (Mike) Sibley our “Brother-in-Arms”.   To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Mike.   And to Mike it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country while serving in the U.S. Air Force.  Mike, we commend you for your honorable service. You are a true patriot, who served with honor and distinction. You upheld the finest qualities of an American patriot warrior: courage, commitment, Generosity, sacrifice, love and devotion to family and country.  You were a true friend.  We bid you a sad farewell.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.

Mike was a wonderful man and will be missed so much. He always had a big hug and smile for me, even when he wasn't feeling too good! The Sibley family means the world to the Fortenberry family and we have lots of good memories with Mike. Hope him and Daddy have a good chat in heaven!
