Nancy Tucker Owen

Celebration of life services for Nancy Tucker Owen, 72, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ken Basco and Rev. Gene Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Nancy went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2010 in Bossier City. Her love for the Lord was shown through her service as pianist at Greenacres Baptist Church, Merrywoods Baptist Church, Shady Grove Baptist Church, Belle Park Baptist Church, and Baptist Tabernacle in Sibley, LA and Beulah Land Baptist Church. She was currently a member of Bellevue Road Baptist Church, and a 1955 graduate of Emerson High School.Her greatest joys in life were her love of Gospel Music, her family, and her grandchildren.

She was preceded indeath by her parents, Ed and Sidna Tucker, and sister Billie Tucker.

Survivors include her husband of forty-four years David M. Owen; daughter, Susan Owen Colvin and husband Billy of Haughton, LA; four grandchildren, Catie Colvin, Jeremy Colvin, Cody Colvin and Dustin Colvin; lifelong friend

Frances Sellers McCartney of Tyler, TX.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeremy Colvin, Cody Colvin, and Dustin Colvin; Jessie Colston, Joel Brazzel, and Marcus Osborn.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Geron Wright and Doug Williams.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Gerry SanPedro and Willis-Knighton Bossier ICU staff, to her nurses Angi, Mona, Susan, Tangela, and Jim for their kind and devoted care.
