Nelson was a friend, classmate, and a neighbor. I had some good times fishing in the river with Nelson and his dad.  We would go to TIP Top store to a cool coke. RIP

Grew up in St. James, Louisiana on the Mississippi River Road with Nelson. He was a memorable good guy. RIP

I met Nelson in the Coates Bluff community where he would walk and I soon realized he was the door greeter at our church. I looked forward to his smile and hug every Sunday morning! I know he loved his family and his precious dogs. We will miss him so much!!

Nelson was a wonderful neighbor and friend. He loved his yard and garden and would proudly share his produce with many of us in the neighborhood. He will be missed by all.

One of the sweetest people I have ever met. I loved seeing him on Sunday mornings and getting a hug from him. He will be greatly missed. Prayers for his family and friends.

Deepest sympathy to Nelson’s family.  I started working with Nelson in 1966, at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville.  The funeral home offered ambulance service at the time and Nelson and I split that duty.  After college, I started working for Security Industrial and after serving my apprentiship, Nelson was one of the first persons I hired.  He moved up quickly into management.  Whenever we had an area that needed special attention, Nelson would answer the call.  He was good at what he did, and was always willing to move.  He became almost indispensable .  He remained with the company until after I retired in 2019.  I considered him a most valuable associate and a good friend.
