Nelson A Zeringue Jr.

Nelson was born in Donaldsonville, Louisiana, to Nelson Zeringue Sr. and Eunice Anne Zeringue on December 21, 1947. He attended St. James High School and went on to study at Nicholls State University.

On August 17, 1985, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Guidry, in St. Amant, Louisiana. Nelson worked dedicatedly as a District Manager for Security Industrial Insurance for over 35 years. Outside of his career, he had a deep passion for volunteer work and community involvement. He will always be remembered for his constant encouragement, his warm smile, and his unwavering kindness. He never met a stranger more than once.

Nelson is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ann Guidry Zeringue; his parents, Nelson Zeringue Sr. and Eunice Anne Zeringue; his siblings, Timothy Zeringue and Cecile Zeringue; and his great-granddaughter, Kaylei Ferrell.

He is survived by his siblings, Furcy Zeringue (Anna), Patrick Zeringue (Joanne), Zachary Zeringue (Maxine), and Alice Brandt; his sons, Nelson A. Zeringue III (Kathie) and Michael Zeringue (Lesley); and his stepdaughter, Tiffany Wilson (Eugene).

He was the proud grandfather of Kristie Wilkins (Larry), Alden Tucker (Andrew), T.J. Emsley (Colby), Jamey Guidry (Zia), Alex Zeringue (Caitlin), Trinity Wilson, Austin Zeringue, Joshua Wilson, and Natalie Wilson; and the doting great-grandfather of Rylei Ferrell, Olivia Ferrell, Jamey Guidry Jr., Zoey Guidry, Landon Wilkins, Colton Wilkins, Waylon Wilkins, Jackson Tucker, Harrison Tucker, and Makai Wilson.
