Norma was born April 10, 1944 to Mariano and Rosario Zamora who preceded her in death. She was married to Rodolfo Canlas Serrano for 35 years before he preceded her in death in 1997. Norma was a member and deaconess of Iglesia Ni Cristo - Locale of Dallas. She was a loving and giving person, always thinking of others, never of herself. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her, most of all by her children.
She is survived by devoted children: Daughter Arlene O’Neil and husband Eric of Haughton, LA, Son Edgar Serrano and wife Annie of Cavite, Philippines, Son Allan Serrano and wife Shirley of San Fernando, Philippines, Daughter Odette Anderson and husband Ron of Wichita Falls, TX, and Daughter Myrene Aquino and husband Bernie of Angeles City, Philippines; Grandchildren: Chelsea, Zamora, Chazan, Chezka, Lester Ryan, Kimberly, Jermaine, Jay, Jazmyn, Dianne, and Rhegiree Great-Grandchildren: Natasha, Nicole, Ciael, Chayyim, Clarence, Caitlyn, Carl, Yva, Ranaiah, Luna, and Marco. Siblings: Sisters, Myrna Lopez, Edna DeGuzman, Cynthia Martin of California and Evangeline DeJesus of the Philippines.
The family would like to thank the hospital and ICU staff at Willis Knighton Bossier, the staff of Pilgrim Manor, Caddo Council of Aging, and to those who have loved and cared for Norma over the years. We express our utmost gratitude to you all.
Today we would like to celebrate the life of Norma and cherish all of the times we all have spent with her. She was dear to all of us and she will live on through us.
