Pat was born in Magnolia, Arkansas on August 9, 1952 to Bonnie Jean Lewis O’Glee and Shannon Clyde O’Glee. Pat graduated from Haughton High School in 1970 and then attended Bossier Parish Community College. After high school and while attending college Pat began his career with South Western Bell Telephone Company. After 32 years of service, Pat retired in 2002. Later he worked for Herb Jeanes managing Diamond J Ranch for seven years. After leaving the ranch Pat became employed with BHP, retiring in 2018. Pat was an avid hunter and fisherman. Pat, along with a lifetime friend, founded the Old Dog Hunting Club. Having a passion for motorcycles, which he owned and rode since childhood, Pat explored many states on his Harley Davidson alone with a host of other motorcycle enthusiasts. Pat made many great and valuable friends along the way. As one friend so eloquently said, Pat was an easy to talk to stranger, he made you want to be his friend. In 1979 Pat married Donna Jean Thompson. This union resulted in the birth of two children, Jeffrey David and Sarah Jean. Pat made sure his children developed a love of the outdoors teaching them about the things he loved to do including being LSU Tiger and New Orleans Saints fans.
Pat was preceded by his parents, Shannon and Bonnie O'Glee and brother, Mike O'Glee. Pat is survived by his son, Jeffrey David O’Glee and wife Raisa Vanzan O’Glee; daughter, Sarah Jean O’Glee Lytle and husband Adam Lytle; six grandchildren, Isabella, Oliver, Chandler, Luke, Lake, and CJ; two sisters, Peggy O’Glee and Sandi O’Glee Beahm and husband Dickie.
Visitation is at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Haughton, LA., at 10 am Wednesday, January 22, 2020 followed by the funeral service at 11 am in the chapel officiated by Pastor Timothy Dye. Interment will follow at Haughton Cemetery, Haughton, LA.
Honoring Pat as pallbearers are Jimmy Burns, Mike Davis, Curt Haun, Rickie Williams, Jay Franks, Jeff O'Glee and Adam Lytle. Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren, Chandler, Luke and Lake Lytle, Isabella and Oliver O'Glee.
