Shreveport, LA
Peggy Law Sterritt, 84, entered in the arms of her Lord on June 27, 2012 after suffering a brief illness. Peggy and her twin Patsy were born to Otis and Mae Law on October 30, 1927, in Montesano, Washington. Peggy was one of five children. She grew up in East Texas and graduated from New London High School 1945. She attended business school in Tyler, Texas, where she met Jack Sterritt, and they married in 1947.
They moved to Homer, Louisiana, where they lived for 25 years and had four children. She was a member of First Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was a Cub Scout leader and Girl Scout leader for her children. In 1972 they moved to Shreveport and joined Broadmoor Baptist Church. There, Peggy taught 3 year old Sunday School and sang in the choir. She started the “Scripturesize” class in 1984, and led it for 28 years.
Peggy was an LPN at Highland Clinic for Dr. Dean Griffen from 1972-1984. She then became a manager for Forever Living Aloe Vera products. She loved delivering Meals on Wheels with her twin sister. She played golf with a passion. She enjoyed playing the game with her husband Jack, twin Patsy, and many golfing friends.
Peggy has gone but her spirit and laughter will remain forever. We were blessed by God to have such an inspirational, wonderful, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
