

He was born November 26, 1949 in Shreveport, LA, a son of the late Thomas Phillip Gill and Sybil Catherine Baker Gill. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Gretna, serving as a deacon and a retired Recruiter for BJ Services.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Beth Ann Gill Larson and her husband, Karl of Climax and Dawn Ree Gill Bourne of Tomball, TX; three sisters, Cathy Williams and her husband, Jimmy of Waskom, TX, RuthAnn Ledet of Waskom, TX and Nina Hudson and her husband, John of Liberty City, TX; four grandchildren, Zachary Larson, Dain Fletcher, Dale Bourne and Trenton Wight; three great grandchildren, Leo Fletcher, Levi Fletcher and Amelia Wight.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Randall Gill and a sister, Nora Lee Loyd.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., followed by a service at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 2, 2026 at Hill Crest Funeral Home at 601 Hwy 80 E., Haughton, Louisiana 71037.
