Mistie devoted herself as a housewife creating a warm and supportive environment for her family. She also had a special gift for caring for wildlife, particularly rehabilitating squirrels. Her heart was full of love for the tiny creatures she nurtured back to health.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Nevills; husband, Ben Hogan; grandson, Aaron Hogan, and brother, Charles Roth.
Mistie is survived by her sons, John Hogan (Corky), Rodney Hogan, and Michael Hogan, as well as numerous cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the members of Shady Grove Baptist.
A visitation for Phyllis will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 4227 Van Deeman St., Bossier City, LA 71112, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
