I would like to offer you my deepest sympathy for your loss.  I know what a great void his passing has left and would like to say that you will all be in my prayers. I am truly sorry that I was unable to attend, however if there is anything I can do to help any of the family please let me know.

Brother Rayden was a wonderful man and loved the Lord. He will be missed here on earth but we know he is at home with his Lord and Savior and he is having a good time. Our prayers are for the family, May God bless and keep you.

Dear Mrs. Lee, Carolyn and Bill,
       What an influence your Dad had on so many young people in his career.  I am only one.  I am presently serving on the 4-H Foundation Board. My daughter supplemented her college education with a 4-H scholarship. All because someone cared enough to invest in me.  Carolyn, do you remember the demonstration we did on poor posture in the 5th grade?  How about, "How to clean and oil your sewing machine?"  Life was so simple then.  I lost my Dad a little over a year ago.  The feelings of loss are still there.  But to know that you will see your Dad again and spend Eternity with him is such a comfort. My deepest sympathy and condolences.

May joyful memories bring you comfort as you celebrate a life well lived! Consider this a long distance hug from me and all my guys!  We love you!

Gloria, we were so saddened to hear of Rayden's death.  I have such fond memories of our families getting together at your parents' home in Oil City and Hawkins in my younger years.  I also can still remember that beautiful day when you two got married.  My mother loved both of you so much.  Rayden was such a good man, and we know he is at peace now.  May God comfort you, Bill, Carolyn and family during this difficult time.

Mrs. Gloria, I am so sorry about Mr. Rayden.  When I was going to Central you both were very wonderful and nice to me.  Even when I visited after we left Central, you both were always so loving.  I will miss Mr. Rayden.  I will remember your family in my prayers.  Love in Christ.  Virgie Hobson

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another. 

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Rayden P. Lee our Brother in Arms.  To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Rayden.  And to Rayden it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during WW-II while serving in the U.S. Navy.  Rayden, you served with honor and distinction.  You will be dearly missed from among our ranks.  Be at Ease.  Rest in Peace.
