SHREVEPORT, LA- Raymond F. Whisenant, 70, of Shreveport, passed away on June 27, 2017. Raymond was born on September 25, 1946, in Shreveport, LA, to Raymond F. and Ruby L. Whisenant. He was a lifelong mechanic, owning his own service center and auto sales business here in town. Raymond's love of everything fast led him to his hobby of building custom race cars. Anyone who knew him knows, if you wanted your car to go fast, he was the guy to make it happen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bryan Reed of Simple Church officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Raymond is preceded in death by his love and partner, Patricia "Blondie" Feazel, and his parents, Raymond and Ruby. Raymond is survived by Patricia's daughters, whom he loved as his own, Pam and Kristie; and his sister, Thelma Cathey and husband Everett.
