

Becky, as she was known to most, was born in Fort Worth, Texas, the second of three children to Ivor Streiff and Myrtle Glasco Streiff.
She was preceded in death by her son, Fredrick Lindsey Kester and is survived by her two daughters, Laura Kester Moehring and Edie Lynn Kester, her four grandchildren, Jesse Jerome, Hayden Dean and his wife Jesi Feld Dean, Marshia Moehring Kennedy and her husband Jesse Kennedy, Mitch Moehring and his wife Casey Moehring, five great-grandchildren, and her dear brother Robert Streiff.
Becky graduated high school from Carter Riverside High School in 1951, then went on to graduate from Texas State College for Women.
After marrying September 1, 1956, her first daughter, Laura Dean Kester, was born in Nurnberg, Germany, on August 9, 1959, then her son, Frederick Lindsey Kester, in Little Rock, Arkansas, on September 27, 1962, and her daughter, Edie Lynn Kester, in Shreveport, Louisiana, on September 1, 1969. Becky was a devoted and loving mother to her children, exuding strength and independence.
She worked over forty years as an advocate for people with disabilities and worked over 35 years for the Arc Caddo-Bossier. She attended and was a member of First Bossier church where she volunteered and assisted in raising money for their missionary endeavors.
Becky loved spending time cooking and entertaining with friends and family. Card and board games were some of her favorite past times along with sports, especially tennis. Traveling was another of her favorite past times spending time traveling with family and friends and visiting family and friends in Louisiana, Texas, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and a special trip to Australia to mention a few. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing, a past time she instilled in her children.
Becky was a loving and generous woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Our world will not be the same without her.
Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Life beginning at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
