Richard Alfred Petrawski, 90, of Bossier City, Louisiana, passed away on July 27, 2026. Born January 6, 1936, in Jermyn, PA, Richard lived a life marked by steady commitment, quiet strength, and an enduring devotion to the people and responsibilities entrusted to him.
Richard retired from the Air Force in 1974 after 20 years of service, a career shaped by diligence and faithful dedication. He then continued his working life with the USPS for 23 years, bringing the same dependable work ethic and sense of duty to every day and every task.
He will be remembered for his hard work, his love for travel, and his enjoyment of golf—simple pleasures that reflected a life lived with purpose and consistency, and a spirit that valued both service and time well spent.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Petrawski; sons, Mike Petrawski and Rick Petrawski; grandchildren, Chris Petrawski (Amy Petrawski), Josh Petrawski (Olivia Tilley), Preston Petrawski, Sara Petrawski, Linda Bruderer (Ryan Bruderer); and great grandchildren, Harrison Petrawski, Hannah Petrawski, Marcus Petrawski, Madison Petrawski, Enzo Mendoza, and Holden Bruderer.
Visitation will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 beginning at 1:00 pm with the service to follow at 2:00 pm. Interment will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
