Memorial Services will be held to celebrate the life of Richard Allen Snoddy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at 10:00 until service time.
Allen was born on August 16, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK and passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 13, 2022 in Haughton, LA. He served 6 years in the US Navy as a Radarman on the USS Holder and was Honorably Discharged on June 3, 1974. After he served, Allen graduated from Louisiana State University Shreveport with a Bachelor's Degree. He then went to work at Lowes for 2 years, then he worked for Allen Millwork as a Sales Person until Retirement. After work, he liked to spend time with family and friends, watch football, enjoyed gardening, and enjoyed going to the workshops at The Home Depot with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his dad, William G. Snoddy, and mother, Beth McGee.
Allen is survived by his wife, Claudia Snoddy; step-mother, Dorothy Snoddy; children, Kelly Miller, and Laura Modisette; grandchildren, Dalton Stevens, Baylea Miller, Colby Thigpen, and Haylea Snoddy; siblings, Bert Rothenbach and wife Kelly Rothenbach; step-sisters, Debbie, Danette, and Donna; and nieces, Melissa Whorton, and Amelia Rothenbach.
The family would like to thank Southerncare Hospice for all the care from the nurses and the aides that helped take care of Allen. We would also like to thank everyone that came to check in on him and help us take care of him.
