Funeral services for Ricky G. Wood, 67, will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Bro. Calvin Hubbard, followed by interment in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Ricky Gene Wood was born in Hugo, OK on March 6, 1954, to the late Harvey and Billie Cole Wood and passed away on November 29, 2021.
Ricky held the title of the longest continual employee at Thrifty Liquor with a forty-seven year career. He began working with Thrifty Liquor at the Linwood Ave. store and was managing the Pines Rd. location at the time of his passing. He became a manager in 1978 and was a faithful, dedicated employee. He was a wonderful brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Billie Wood; and his maternal grandparents, Oscar Calvin Cole and Louise M. Cole. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Wood and wife Pam; sister, Vickie Warnock and husband Buddy; niece, Christina Hughes and husband Steve; nephew, Jeremy Wood; great nephew, Dillion Hughes and wife Allie; great-niece, Lexy Hughes; and great-great-nephew, Tony Hughes.
