Robert Miller Reid, Sr., age 92, of Keithville, Louisiana passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Robert was born on February 4, 1933, in Greenville, Texas to Charlie Melvin Reid and Millie New Reid.
Robert Reid had many different accomplishments in his long 92-years of life. His most beautiful accomplishment was having and raising a family with his loving wife Bingo.
He raised his children to be humble, care for others and to always be kind. To love your family and that Pride is a beautiful thing to have. These are the lessons he taught his children and his grandchildren.
He was a man of many talents; he could craft anything out of a piece of wood, restore anything back to its original state and make it good as new.
Robert enjoyed Hunting, Fishing and Gardening. He always succeeded on Cross Lake catching Catfish in the Winter underneath the Cypress Trees. He would catch plenty to fill his freezers and last him all year long.
With his Garden he would say, if you can name it, I can grow it. There was something majestic about his Garden in Keithville.
Most of his vegetables he grew from seedlings in his hot house and planted them according to The Farmers Almanac where he knew the Moon and Seasons had everything to do with planting and growth.
Robert's career of Renovating, Remodeling and Painting was a blessing for him and his Sons which both had the same talent and skill that he did. For many years his career was successful and helped take care of his family simply working and doing what he loved.
Robert was a Christian and would talk of God and Jesus freely. He was a firm believer that whoever believes in the name of Jesus will be saved. Although he had many years without most of his loved ones he always kept his faith strong and knew there would be a day when he would all be together again with them all in the arms of God in Heaven.
Today we Honor Robert as an amazing Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great grandfather, Uncle, Friend and son of God.
We will miss him not being with us, but we will always have our precious memories of all the time we had with him in his 92 years of life. God has a new Angel that he called home where he has no pain, no suffering and is with his loving family once again, Amen
