Robert was born on June 22, 1969 in Sturgis, Michigan to Robert Dean Stults II and Maria Lopes. He spent most of his youth in Naples, Italy, the hometown of his mother, Maria.
Robert married the love of his life, Stephanie, on August 4, 1992. And they shared 33 wonderful years together. Robert had so many accomplishments to be proud of, but his greatest and proudest accomplishments were his two daughters, Miranda and Monica, that he and Stephanie raised together. Robert was an avid soccer coach who had a passion for the game and mentoring the young men and women he had the pleasure of coaching- especially his daughters who he coached all their lives. He was a quiet man, but would do anything for anyone and touched the lives of so many.
Robert joined the Air Force in 1987 as an enlisted member working in the communications squadron. At his second duty station, San Vito, Italy, he met his beautiful wife, Stephanie. After completing his degree, he commissioned through the officer training school at Maxwell Air Force Base and returned to the communications career field. Throughout his career, he deployed to Bosnia Herzegovina in support of Operation Deliberate Force- Stabilization Force and to Baghram Air Base, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Finally, he retired alongside his wife after 24 and 22 years of service, respectively. After retirement, he served as the Chief of Cyber Operations for Future Plans, Programs and Requirements for Air Force Global Strike Command.
Robert will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his service, his country, his love for life’s simple pleasures, and most of all for his strong faith and dedication to the Lord. His legacy of faith, strength, kindness, and devotion will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Although his loss is great, we find peace in knowing that he is at Home wrapped in the arms of the Lord.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Stephanie Elaine Stults, his two daughters Miranda (Jason) Ellington, and Monica (Matthew) Garrett and his beloved grandson Miles. He also leaves behind his mother, Maria, his siblings, Anna Stults, Johnny (Christy) Stults, Robert Dean (LuAnn) Stults III, Christina Stults, Fabio (Jessica) Massa, Rosaria Massa, and Daniel Sean Stults. As well as a vast extended family of players, coaches, and friends whose lives he greatly impacted.
