Louie was born 4 August 1953, in Hughes, Arkansas to Felix A. and Melba Taylor Thompson.
Upon graduation of high school in Aurora, Ill he joined the US Air Force Aug 1971 and served until his retirement in Nov 1993 as Senior Master Sergeant (E8) as Superintendent Base Supply at Barksdale AFB, LA. He worked at Bossier Yamaha as Service Manager and then worked at City of Bossier City as Superintendent Building Maintenance until retirement.
Louie graduated from Louisiana Tech University with Bachelor Degree in May 1993.
Member of El Karubah Shriners, Scottish Rite of Freemason, Royal Order of Jesters, Sandman Unit, Booth Masonic Lodge, Krewe of Centaur and Big Foot Hunting Club. Big Foot was his favorite place to be, he enjoyed the camaraderie of his “brothers” and bagging a deer was a bonus.
Louie is survived by wife Denise Thompson of Elm Grove, La, daughters Kimberly (Gene) Carpenter of Golden, Mississippi, Galena Lanet Thompson of Haughton, La, Sabrena (Nick Peer) of Haughton, La, stepson Chase Morales of Dallas, Texas. Siblings Stephan (Deb) Thompson, Byron (Brenda) Thompson, Tim Thompson, Suzie (Gene) Lewis. Grandchildren Austin (Kate) Carpenter, Lily, Violet and Sage Peer and great grandson Cooper Carpenter.
Proceeded in death by his parents, Felix Thompson and Melba Lewis, step daughter Carissa Morales, grandson Zackary Carpenter and sister Tracey Cox.
