Robin Alderman Dean, 62, of Haughton, Louisiana, passed away on May 21, 2026. Born December 27, 1963, Robin will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence—devoted in the ways that mattered most, faithful in heart and practice, and generous with a kindness that quietly reached far beyond what was ever asked of her.
Robin’s life was marked by steady service. She worked as a bus driver until her retirement, and she also served at Belle Park Baptist Church as a music leader and secretary. Her love for God, her family, and her church shaped the rhythm of her days and the care she extended to others.
Gifted in music, Robin was an amazing singer and loved to play the piano. She also expressed herself through writing and authored a book titled “Falling Again.” Those who knew her often spoke of the way she made people feel seen and welcomed—how she would truly listen, and how she had a way of making others feel that what they were saying mattered.
Robin is survived by her husband, Charles Dean; her children, Heather Peters (Matthew), James “Ben” Alderman (Savana), and Wendy Davis (Wesley); her bonus children, Stanley Tunstall, Candice Thomas, and Bradley Dean; grandchildren, David Peters, Valerie Peters, Wyatt Alderman, Josie Alderman, and Jemma Alderman; bonus grandchildren, Abby Tunstall, Andy Tunstall, Braydon Thomas, Kayla Thomas, Collin Sims, Caleb Sims, and Colby Stanley; her parents, Bonnie Dowdy (Mike) and Maxey Kirkley (Gayle); and her brother, Jimmy Kirkley (Bonnie).
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glenn Alderman, and her grandmother, Mary Watson.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of Robin's memory, please share your appreciation with those you love and hold dear to your heart.
