George Wilson and Rosa Lee Clayton Seale welcomed their precious Ruby Virginia into the world on July 30, 1934 in Holly Springs, AR. Jean was a loving mother and grandmother; however, her passion for children extended beyond own family. She held a master’s degree in education and served the children of Bossier Parish faithfully until her retirement. Jean was an avid sports fan; it was not uncommon to catch her in front of the television rooting for her Texas Rangers or taking in the occasional tennis match. However, of all her interests, none was more important than her relationship with her Lord and Savior. While on this Earth she worshiped him as a faithful member of Fellowship United Methodist Church, but now, surely she has a new perspective. Ms. Clark passed peacefully, surrounded by family, this past Saturday, August 4, 2018 at the age of 84. Preceding her in death are her parents and former husband (father of her three children), Joseph Floyd Clark. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gary Clark with wife Dianne Morrison Clark, Vicky Birtcher, and Dennis Clark with wife Diane Dahlberg Clark; Grandchildren, Ben Clark, Claire Clark Hammond with husband Jarrett, Keith Clark with wife Scotlyn, Hannah Clark, and Andrea Holley; Great Grandchildren, Reese Marie Hammond and Anna Ruth Hammond; neice, Carolyn Prothro; nephew, Mike Stiles; sister, Edna Mae Lee and numerous other family members and dear friends. Ben Clark, Keith Clark, Jarrett Hammond, Robert Street, William Eubanks and Nathaniel Pruden will serve as pallbearers for Wednesday’s service. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to her caretakers at Garden Park, her Fellowship UMC church family.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in her honor to Fellowship United Methodist Church, 4750 Barksdale Blvd, Bossier City, LA 71112.
