Russell William Atkinson

Mr. Atkinson was born on March 4, 1926 and passed away on June 14, 2018; he was a native of in Kinistino, SK Canada and resident of Bossier City, LA. Russell was a veteran of The Canadian Armed Forces and was a mechanic with Bell Telephone until retirement, but the job he loved most was being a caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather to his family.

His parents, Richard Bertram Atkinson and Bessie Georgina Lovell Atkinson, and his two brothers Thomas and George Atkinson precede him in death. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Grace Elizabeth (Mercer) Atkinson; son, Richard Atkinson and wife Ligia from California; daughter, Jeane Neill and husband Dwain from Louisiana; grandchildren, Bill Atkinson and wife Kara from California, Jeane Bruckbauer and husband John from California, Billy Neill and wife Tosha from Louisiana, Alex Neill and wife Bonnie from Arizona and Lisa Girelli from California. Great grandchildren Kaitlain, Jenna, Jase, Tyler, Luke, Rhett, Sawyer, Taylor and Mick; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends will also miss him immensely.
