Sandra Lee Owens

HAUGHTON, LA – Sandra went home to be with the Lord yesterday. She was my beautiful wife, and our children’s wonderful mom. She was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1961, and passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, July 22, 2015.

Sandra was our joy, the center of our home. She was a Christian wife and mother who loved playing board games with our children, was an avid reader, and had enjoyed a career in the jewelry business.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle J. Camp and Dorothy Sue Camp. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Travis J. Owens; her children, Jason “Garrett” Owens and Olivia Elizabeth Owens; her sisters, Debra Camp and husband Michael Correll, and Vicki Dunlap and husband George; her brother, Doyle James Camp, Jr. and wife Sharon; her mother-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Boren; and her sister-in-law, Tammy Lynn Pratt.

Services for Sandra will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 26, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, conducted by Chaplain Jay Valentine. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. There will be a brief visitation prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
