In 1954, Sharon's parents, Issac and Gladys Asberry were on vacation, visiting family and friends in Louisiana. During this time, Sharon Ann Asberry decided to make her entrance into this world on May 7, 1954.
Sharon Ann Asberry died peacefully in Bossier City, Louisiana on August 2, 2018 at the age of 64.
She is survived by her remaining brother, Issac (Vivian) Asberry Jr. (Los Angeles, CA); Sisters, Geovianna (Claude) Simmons (Houma, LA) and LaTanya Wheeler (Los Angeles, CA).
She is preceded in death by her parents Issac Asberry Sr. and Gladys Simon Boye and her youngest brother, Jeron "Jerome" Asberry.
Sharon always greeted you with a loving hug, beautiful smile and a kind word or two. She accepted Christ at an early age and instilled the importance of having a relationship with the Lord to her 5 children. She was baptized as an adult at Christian Faith Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor Troy Evans.
Growing up in California, Sharon attended elementary and middle school in Los Angeles and later graduated from Compton High. Shortly after, she began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She loved taking care of others, especially the elderly. GOD called her to be a CNA at the age of 16 and she have worked at various hospitals in California and Louisiana.
In 1979, Sharon moved to Plaquemine, LA and met the love of her life, Clyde Ellis Sr. It was on 408 Peter Street, where she and Clyde made a home for their children.
Sharon was extremely dedicated and nurturing to her 5 children: Mona (Juan) Kimble (Los Angeles, CA), Brandy Evans (Bossier City, LA), Clyde (Evette) Ellis Jr. (Long Beach, CA), Garland Eliis (Houston, TX) and Diamond Ellis (Bossier City, LA). Her grandchildren, Jasmine Wallace (Bossier, LA), Jalen Kimble (Los Angeles, CA) and Laila Kimble (Los Angeles, CA). She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews that she also loved dearly.
No matter what is going on in her life, with a smile Sharon would always say, "Bae, it’s going to be okay and you guys are going to be alright"!
