She accepted Christ at an early age and instilled the importance of having a relationship with the Lord to her 5 children. She was baptized as an adult at Christian Faith Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor Troy Evans.
Growing up in California, Sharon attended elementary and middle school in Los Angeles and later graduated from Compton High. Shortly after, she began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
She loved taking care of others, especially the elderly. GOD called her to be a CNA at the age of 16 and she have worked at various hospitals in California and Louisiana.
In 1979, Sharon moved to Plaquemine, LA and met the love of her life, Clyde Ellis Sr. It was on 408 Peter Street, where she and Clyde made a home for their children.
