July 29, 1939 – March 15, 2026

Ann Horne, 86, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 15, 2026. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, March 20, from 5:00–7:00 pm at Hill Crest Funeral Home in Haughton.

Services will be held Saturday, March 21, at 10:00 am at Barksdale Community Church in Bossier City. Rev. Kendall Docter will officiate the service.

Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Ann was welcomed home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 15, 2026. She was a homemaker and drove a school bus for Bossier Parish for 20 years.

Ann was the last surviving charter member of Barksdale Community Church. She was involved in many activities, including Bible study at Bossier Life Church, Mother’s Club, Class of ’57 lunches, attending Open Range Fellowship services, and especially playing cards with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Bob Horne; her parents, Ewin and Doris Wall; her brother, Arthur Lee Wall; and her grandson, Austin Horne, her nephew, Robert Bentley & niece, Christine Wall.

Ann is survived by her sons, Ronnie Horne and wife Donna of Georgia, Gary Horne and wife Judy of Haughton, Jimmy Horne and wife Sheila of Florida, and Paul Horne and wife Jan of Bossier City; her grandchildren, Lindsey, Amanda, Sarah, Janie, Bobby, Joseph, Cierra, Ethan, Dana, and Montie; her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Celeste, Ashley, Davis, Harleigh, Sutton & Lochlan; and her nieces & nephews Sandra, Pattie Jo, Donna, Tina, Debra, Ricky, Rhonda, Carrie, Marsha, Eddie & Tonya.

Pallbearers will be Steve Handley, Kirk Armitage, Steve Armitage, Sam Brimer, Jeff Smith, and Todd Tilley.

As per the family’s request, in lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in honor of Ann to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Willis Knighton Medical Center on 5 Center and 3 East, and “The Girls”—Barbara Ann, Jackie, Larna, Carol Ann, and Glinda—for their unwavering love, friendship, and support.
