Shawnee Nikki Lewis

PRINCETON, LA – Services celebrating the life of Shawnee (Nikki) Lewis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jackie Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Fillmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

Shawnee was born in Shreveport, LA on October 19, 1985 and entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 5, 2018 in Bossier City, LA. She attended Hillcrest High School in Dallas, Texas. Shawnee was a Property Preservation Specialist at Bank of America in Plano, Texas. Shawnee Lewis was a twinkle in our eyes and a light in this world.

She was preceded in death by her baby Joshua Freeman, Jr.; sister, Ullissa Maiden; grandparents, Mr. General C. (Bud) Lewis and Mrs. Annie Lois Lewis and her beloved dog, Sapphire.

Shawnee is survived by (father) David Lewis, (mother) Bridget Forbes, (step-father) Keith Forbes, (grandmother) Pauline Smith, (grandfather) Palmo Smith Jr., (daughter) Mya S. Smith, (son) Syncere Freeman-Lewis, (daughter) Johanna N. Freeman-Lewis, (daughter) Jeisele M. Freeman-Lewis, (daughter) Estella B. Freeman, (father of her children) Joshua Freeman and his mother, Debra Johnson, (beloved pet) Ruby, (sister) Renesha Lewis, (sister) Angel Lewis, (sister) Aleah Lewis, (brother) David Maiden, (sister) Toccara Maiden and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Smith, David Maiden, Kyonz Smith, Palmo L. Smith, Kevin Smith and Tyree Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Palmo Smith, Jr., Jerrell Stewart, Jackie Jones, Keith Forbes and Deante M. Jones.
