Spring Michelle Fulco, lovingly known as “Sugar” to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, at the age of 49 after a courageous battle with cancer. Her life was marked by unwavering faith, fierce love, and a heart big enough to hold the world.
Born on April 8, 1976, in Fort Worth, Texas, Spring lived a life devoted to others. She was a dedicated nurse who served countless patients with compassion, strength, and grace. She worked alongside Dr. Aaron Broadwell, whom she loved dearly and considered family. Even during her hardest days, she remained committed to helping others—never wavering in her spirit or purpose.
To know Spring was to know unconditional love. She loved deeply, forgave freely, and prayed endlessly for everyone—no matter what. Her heart reflected the love of Christ, and she carried His light into every room she entered. Whether you knew her for a moment or a lifetime, you were better because of it.
Spring was strong-willed, independent, and full of joy. She found her greatest happiness in her family—especially her grandchildren, whose lives she filled with encouragement, hugs, and presence. She could always be found cheering on Cam at every event, crafting something meaningful, or sneaking away for a little shopping therapy.
She is survived by her loving husband, Colton Fulco; her children: Morgan Frey (Lee), Jonathan Caskey (Devon), Maggie Phillips (Cody), and Cam Fulco; her cherished grandchildren Chestin, Ryleigh Kate, Hudson, Caleb, Caden, James, Penelope, and Colter; her parents, Debbie Graves and Paul Dees; and so many extended family members, friends, and patients who became like family.
Spring’s legacy is one of love—deep, boundless, Christ-centered love. She gave it freely, lived it boldly, and left this world far better than she found it. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit lives on in every life she touched.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11 AM. Located at Riverpark Church, 3232 E. 70th Street, Shreveport, La 71105. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you simply love others like Sugar did—with open arms, a kind word, and a faithful heart.
