She is survived by her 4 children, Taquita Nicole Mason (James), Markus Roshawn Ashley (Jessie), Latrice Rene Ashley (Shanti Sr) and LaKeesha Lavette Ashley, three brothers, Al Jewel Williams (Bridgette) of North Carolina, and Rickey Ray Williams Sr (Wendy) of Texas, Percy Fredericks (Pamela) of Shreveport, and one sister, Vicky Heard-Brooks(Louis) also of Shreveport, seven grandchildren, Bre’Anica, Jaelyn, Shanti Jr, Jasmine, Christian, MaKayla and Markus Jr, one uncle George Williams, one aunt, Exie Mills both of Shreveport, her ex-husband Jimmy Ashley of Shreveport, cousin and best friend, Tonuary Robinson and Carolyn Butler and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The viewing is scheduled for Friday, May 31, 2013 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Her funeral services will also be held at Hill Crest Memorial on Sat. June 01, 2013 @ 11: 00 am.

One of her favorite sayings is “Child, you’ve got to get up early to handle my business…..you hear me!!”
