Susan L. Mitcham

Services will be held to celebrate the life of Susan L. Mitcham at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Reverend Susan Lawrence officianting. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for visitation beginning at 1:00 pm, prior to service.

Susan was born on June 18, 1954 in Sumter, South Carolina and passed away on July 31, 2024 in Bossier City, LA. She was a longtime resident of Bossier Parish. She was an RN for many years beginning at Christus Schumpert and then in MICU at LSU. Some of her favorite pastimes were golfing, fishing, and spending time with her four cats.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Mattie Allen; her husband, Lory Mitcham; her infant daughter Laura Lee Mitcham, and sister, Lori Allen McCormick.

Susan is survived by her son, Jeffrey Mitcham and grandson, Joseph "Joey" Mitcham; as well as many dear friends, extended family and former coworkers.

The family wishes to thank Pilgrim Manor and Gentiva Hospice for the excellent care and compassion they showed Susan and her family.
