Susie was born on April 11, 1929 to Albert Donald McMichael and Susie Bonner McMichael in Corsicana, Texas, along with brother, Albert Edward McMichael and sister, Ella Thompson Lott, who both preceded her in death. After graduation from high school and attending business college, she went to work in Dallas. She soon met her future husband, Morton Thomas Belvin, who preceded her in death in 2009. They had two children, Annice Belvin Hodge and Cheryl Lynne Belvin.
She is survived by son-in-law, Jud Hodge, cousin, Byna Hood and family, sister-in-law, Marjorie Tanner, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who she loved with all her heart. But more than anything, she loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. Her Bible was her most precious possession. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Bossier until health issues prevented her from attendance.
Due to COVID and Susie's personal preference, the family is having a private graveside prayer time and burial. In lieu of flowers, if anyone wants to donate in her memory, the family has chosen: Ninna's Road to Rescue. It is a local dog (and cat) rescue where Annice volunteers. It also was very special to Susie for personal reasons.
