

Graveside services celebrating the life and honoring the memory of Thelma Louise Vos Brooks, 95, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Hill Crest Memorial Park, with Father Bill McBride of St. Matthias Episcopal Church in Shreveport officiating.
Born in Greenville,MS July 7, 1915 to Anthony and Jessie French Vos, at a young age she and her family moved to Bruce,Wisconsin, then moved to Shreveport, LA; at a later date.
Aunt Thelma was married to three military husbands who all preceded her in death.She was also preceded in death by beloved son,Terrance Roy LaChance. Her mother and father, three brothers, A.J. Vos, John Edward Vos, Eugene Louis Vos who died as a prisoner of war during World War II.
She was a retired cosmetologist and a charter member of the American Legion Auxilliary Koran Post No. 358. She was also an active member of the Air Force Sergeants Association Auxilliary and P.O. W. Chapter of Bossier City, LA.
She is survived by her sister Gloria Marie Murphy, two grandsons, Brian Scott LaChance and Andrew Wayne LaChance; two great -grandchildren, Mason Scott LaChance and Mika Marie LaChance; four nephews, John Richard Vos, Humphrey Eugene Vos, A.J. Vos,Jr.,and Michael Murphy; four nieces, Betty C. Hilliard, Judy Ogle, Mary Catherine Murphy, and Karen Marie Murphy.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Riverview Care Center and to St. Joseph Hospice, for their kind and devoted care.
