City, LA on Aug. 17, 2019. After a hard fought battle with cancer, he has
gone to be with the Lord.
Services celebrating T.J.'s life will begin with a visitation at Hillcrest
Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, August 22 from 5:00-7:00 pm,
followed by a Memorial Service on Friday, August 23 at 10:30 am, with
Pastor David Daniel presiding.
T.J. was born on February 14, 1985 in Bossier City LA. As a child, T.J.
loved to play sports, participated in boy scouts and loved fishing. He
enjoyed spending time with family and was a genuinely happy kid. He
graduated from Benton High School in 2004 and spent time working in
construction with his father. He eventually began working in the heating
and air industry until 2013, when he was hired by Bossier Parish School
Board as a bus driver, where he worked until his passing. He thoroughly
enjoyed his work with Bossier Parish and looked forward to seeing the
children every morning and afternoon.
TJ loved to cook for family and friends. He would surprise you with a jar of
homemade salsa, for no particular reason. TJ was known for his big smile
and friendly nature. He was always there to lend a hand to anybody in
need. He had a positive impact on the lives of many people. TJ Martin
loved life and lived every moment with joy.
He is survived by his Mother and Step-Father, Tammy Martin Beaubouef
and Joseph Beaubouef; Father and Step-Mother, Robert Martin and Sandi
Starkweather Martin; Brother Robert Martin; Sister Christi Martin Nutt and
Husband, Daniel; Step Brothers and Sisters Joseph, Jana and Kara
Beaubouef, Nick and, Mike Starkweather and Mike’s wife Katie, Caitlin
Adkins and husband Justin, Elizabeth Starkweather, Candice Mann and
husband Terry, aunt; Elizabeth Hostettler and uncle Jimmy, uncle Tony
Hrdlicka and wife Judy, uncle Terry Hrdlicka and wife Karen, cousins,
Cory, Casey, Clint, Joel, Paula and husband Roy. Many adoring nieces
and nephews, Leo, Bryce, Ayden, Ash, Lawson, Elora, Shaine,
Blake,Walker and Wyatt and the best friends a person could ever have,
Brooke Benson, Daniel Carnley and son, Colton.
