Tim Boyd Hooper

Funeral services for Tim Boyd Hooper will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 18th at 11:00 am, officiated by Pastor Michael Dickerson of First United Pentecostal Church of San Augustine, TX. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Thursday, March 17th, 2016 from 5-7 pm.

Tim Boyd Hooper, 72, was born in Center, Texas on October 27th, 1943. He attended Center High School and served in the US Army Signal Corp. He was a resident of Bossier City, LA for 45 years. Tim entered into rest on March 13th, 2016, after a brief illness.

Tim lived his life selflessly for the service of his family. Full of compassion, playfulness, and love, he was an independent, private, and humble man. Tim was very loyal and always pulled for the underdog, unless they played the Dallas Cowboys. Tim was a hard worker who was incapable of giving less than his best, having worked as a dental technician for over 40 years in Shreveport, LA.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Charlie G. Hooper, mother, Georgie Ethel Rollins Hooper, and brother, Doyle Ray Hooper. He is survived by son, Stacy Boyd Hooper, and wife, Jocelyn, of Shreveport, LA. Daughter, Gina Hooper Robinson, and husband, BJ, of Benton, LA. Grandchildren, Stacy Garrett Hooper, Kaylee Jordan Hooper, Madison Grace Hooper, Matthew Landon Hooper, Landry Claire Hooper, Christopher Bryce Hooper, Brylee Anna Robinson, and Brendan James Robinson. Brothers, Hoyt Hooper and wife, Jane, of Doyline, LA, and Durwood Hooper and wife, Shirley, of San Augustine, TX Sisters, Maurene Hooper of Converse, LA, Bonnie Free and husband, Larry Lawson, of Lufkin, TX, Charlene Pigg and husband, Jackey, of Lufkin, TX, Wanda Curbow and husband, David, of Lufkin, TX, Georgia Marshburn and husband, Jimmy, of Pollok, Delorse Martinez and husband Dave, of Diboll TX, Zelma Litzmann and husband, James, of Huntsville, TX, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers are Robert Hooper, Bryan Broadway, Richard Free, Jeff Hooper, Corey Pigg, Jared Pigg, Shaune Martinez, and Jonathan Curbow. Honorary Pallbearers are Marty Pigg and Charlie Free.
