Tomasa Galvan, age 91, of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023. She was born on December 29, 1931 in Rio Verde, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the late Castula Galvan and Cayetano Chavez. In Tomasa's younger days, she was a business owner and worked to provide for her family working in her Convenience Store.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; nine siblings: Gregoria Chavez, Marcial Galvan, Antolina Galvan, Gregoria Galvan, Andrea Galvan, Maria Ana Chavez, Exiquio Chavez, Pablo Chavez, Eugenio Chavez, three children: Ezequiel Trejo, Jose Luis Galvan, and Celedonio Trejo.
Left to cherish Tomasa's beautiful memories will be one sibling, Bartolo Galvan; thirteen children: Filemon Trejo, Hortencia Contreras, Jose Angel Contreras, Veneranda Contreras, Juana Maria Contreras, Marco Antonio Contreras, Maria Araceli Contreras, Francisco Trejo, Elvira Trejo, Jorge Trejo, Inez Trejo, Marisela Trejo, Lupita Trejo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members; and a host of wonderful friends.
A visitation for Tomasa will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 9:00 AM until time for the Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM, in the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana 71037. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton, Louisiana.
