Viola Walsh Harrington

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Melton Prothro and Bro. Herbert "Herb" Whitten officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Viola was preceded in death by her parents C.C. and Lillie Walsh and all of her siblings. She is survived by her husband Cecil P. Harrington of Haughton, LA; daughter Doris Jean Grappe and husband Wilson of haughton, sons Gordon Barron and wife Faye and Chris Miller and wife Betty of Minden, LA.

Grandchildren Michael Grappe and David Grappe and wife Diane of Benton, AR; Tammie Thompson of Bossier City, LA; Robin Culverhouse and husband Tony of Doyline, LA; and Aaron Miller of Minden. Great-grandchildren Tiffanie Kief and husband George of Scottsdale,AZ; Blake Grappe and wife Ericka of Benton,AR; Leslie Waarford and husband Eric of Alexander,AR; Allison Grappe of Benton, AR; Amanda Miller and husband Matt; Ashley Chisum and husband Andy of Russellville,AR; Alyssa Culpepper of Bossier City, LA; and Taylor Monroe of Minden, LA; Adrienne Woodard of Bossier City, LA; Austin Culverhouse of Doyline and Raelynn Miller of Minden, LA. Great-great grandchildren Kendall Kief of Scottsdale, AZ; Tilly Warford of Alexander,AR; and Bailey Grappe of Benton,AR. Also survived by nieces and nephews. She loved each one of you and could tell all about the day you were born. Special niece and husband Norma and Major Johnson of Vivian, LA; and special cousins Dora Coffey of Dothan,AL; and Sue Coffey of Ozark,AL; many friends, especially Bro. and Mrs. Herb Whitten, and Joe and Gloria Jones. She loved Cecil's family dearly and as her own.

Viola was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, aunt and friend. She loved plants and flowers. Her yard was always filled with beautiful flowers, most especially when they lived in Gonzales,LA. People driving by stopped to admire them. She will surely have gardens to tend to in heaven.

Pallbearers are grandsons Michael Grappe, David Grappe, and Aaron Miller and great grandsons Blake Grappe, Taylor Monroe and Austin Culverhouse.

We love you and we will miss you until we meet again in the eternity of heaven.
