Violet Duncan, the sweetest, most loving soul to be born on this planet passed away peacefully in her home. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She had an extraordinary gift for making people feel safe, loved, welcomed, and cared for. Her warmth could fill a room and her gentle spirit made everyone around her feel sunshine.
Violet was, above all else, a caregiver. Caring for her husband, her children, her grandchildren, other family members, and friends was not simply something she did - it was who she was.
For 68 beautiful years, she shared her life with the love of her life, her husband Tom. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, loyalty, compassion, devotion and most of all - everyday laughter.
Her family was everything to her. She found great joy in being with her family - the hugs were the best part of the day.
Her passion for the wild wild west, the mountain range, and reading Louis L'Amour books provided adventure to the many places she loved. She delighted in watching birds and spending time with her flowers. She was beautiful not only in appearance, but in the way she lived her life. Those who know her will remember her gentle smile, her caring nature, and the ways she made life better for the people around her.
Our hearts are broken, but we will be forever grateful she was ours.
Violet, "Vi", is lovingly remembered by her beloved husband Tom Duncan; daughters, Cindy Aubrey, and husband, Emlyn Aubrey and Cristy McNabb and husband, Travis McNabb; grandchildren Adelayde Aubrey-Gillespie and her husband Bruce, and Duncan Aubrey.
