Wayne E. Yates

Wayne is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Mary Frances Yates; infant daughter, Vicki Lynn; parents and brother, Webb Yates.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughters Sheri Yates and Sharon Grubbs (Greg), precious granddaughters Stephanie and Samantha Grubbs and many friends and family.

Wayne attended Bossier schools graduating from Bossier High School in 1951. Graduated from Louisiana Tech in 1957 as a civil engineer. He worked for Corps of Engineers and LA DOTD as project engineer, District 04 Maintenance Engineer then retired as District 04 Administrator in 1987. He later worked for CGS Consulting Engineers for 21 years.

Visitation will be at Hill Crest Memorial in Haughton on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5-7 pm. Funeral service will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 10 am with graveside service to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Donnie Rachel, Gary Yates, Rick Yates, Ken Dupree, Bill Taylor and Glenn Benton. Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Rachel, James Rachel and Jap Gullatt.
