A graveside service will be held for Wendell Brumfield on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 3:00 p.m.at Hill Crest Memorial Park with full military honors. Rev. Billy Pierce will be officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, July 28, 2012 from 2:00 until time of service at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Wendell was born on April 6, 1933 in Sulphur Springs, TX and passed away on July 25, 2012 in Bossier City, LA. He was an avid outdoorsman; enjoyed fishing, loved horses and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved serving his country and retired after 22 years of service as Tech Sergeant in the USAF. After retirement, he owned and operated Brumfield Roofing and Remodeling until 2009.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Sue Brumfield, grandson, Daniel Browning, parents, Robert and Jewel Brumfield and multiple siblings.
Wendell is survived by his daughters, Kathy Brumfield and Connie Browning; two grandchildren, Matthew and Rachel Browning and his siblings.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Willis Knighton Pierremont Hospital, W.K. Life Care, W.K. Home Health, W.K. Hospice and special friends, Bill Henderson, Robert Teague, Billy Manning and Pappy Hair.
