I only knew him about 10 years, which is not long compared to most of yall. I loved this man! I have a couple memories that really stick out... first, was when he, Domanike, and Brian came to fix my house. I had a water line bust on a long weekend when we were gone racing, and my whole kitchen was ruined, and my bedroom floor had to be replaced. Pawpaw answered every text and every call. My Nana even got attached to having them around for those few weeks. The next memory is when I had just graduated from college, finally. He was already getting pretty sick this past Christmas, but that didn’t stop him from asking me about my class and how it was going. I sat down on the floor by his recliner, and we just talked for a while. He shocked me when he told me those children needed someone like me. He was proud of me, and he knew I would do a great job. He didn’t have to do that, but he made my day. It took me until I was 35, to get a Bachelor’s Degree, but that didn’t make him care any less. Then, the other day on Monday, while Alisha, Jess, and Sandra were fussing over him, he was getting so aggravated. He looked up at me through them and winked at me. The second to last hospital stay, when I walked in, he said, “HEY TROUBLE!” The best response I had was you know it! You never had to wonder what he thought because he was sure going to tell you! I loved him for it though! I gave him a hard time, and he did the same to me! I’m gunna miss him so much! He was the single most hard-headed person I’ve ever known, and the only one close to him is Alisha! She’s been my rock for a long time, and now, it’s time for me to be her’s. I love you so much sweetheart. We’re gunna take it one day at a time. “Where you go, I go” remember? He told me a few weeks ago when I was leaving that “maybe he’d see me again.” I said, “Pawpaw, I know without a doubt I will see you again one day.” I hope that gives you just a little bit of hope. 

Our prayers are with Sandra and family. Willie was a good man. We remember racing nights, then going to eat at the diner! When we all walked in we got the looks.. lol So many of us! Either fussing about the race or laughing. We all looked so dirty from all the dirt and mudd! Yes my friend good times with y'all. Love, James, Mona Neal..
